Vibrating Machine

Vibrating Machine is used for vibrating the mix in moulds at a frequency of 12,000 ± 400 cycles per minute. The vibrator is mounted over 4 coiled springs and the vibrations are developed by means of a revolving eccentric shaft. The centre of gravity of the vibrator, including the cube mould, is either at the centre of eccentric shaft or within 25mm below it. The simple design of the machine facilitates easy assembly and dismantling of the cube moulds..

Vicat Needle Apparatus

This instrument is used for determining the normal consistency and setting times of cement and 'A' Class limes.

The apparatus consists of a metallic frame bearing a freely movable rod with a cap at top, one vicat mould, split type and glass base plate and one set of needles one each initial needle, final needle and consistency plunger. Fitted with Dash pot.

Laboratory Concrete Mixer

Specification :


The Laboratory Concrete Mixer is used for preparing Mix Design of Concrete. It consists of a steel vessel of 55/ 110 Litres capacity, mounted on a frame. The vessel is rotated at 20-22 RPM with the help of a motor and a pulley arrangement. The vessel of laboratory concrete mixer can be titled to any angle by a hand wheel and counter weight. This facilitates mixing and discharge. Blades are provided inside the vessel to mix the material thoroughly. The large pulley wheel facilitates manual rotation of the drum during power failure. The drum, pulley wheel, and motor, etc, are mounted on a steel frame in these laboratory concrete mixer.

The concrete mixer is fitted with ½ HP motor. Suitable for Operation on 220V, Single Phase, 50Hz, AC Supply

Jolting Machine

The jolting apparatus consists of rectangular table rigidly connected by two support arms to a spindle at a horizontal distance of 800 mm from the centre of the table. The table can be raised and allowed to fall freely by a cam which is connected to a motor. The cam rotates at a rate of 60 rev/min. A stroke counter fitted with micro-switch is provided which stops the machine after 60 jolts. Locating pins are provided for mounting the moulds compartments on the table. The mould surrounded by the hopper can be clamped rigidly to the table. Supplied complete with mould and hopper operation on 230 volts 50 hz ac supply.

Planetary Mixing Apparatus

Planetary Mixing Apparatus

It is used for preparation of plastic mortar of cement and pozzolanic materials for making different types of test specimens in the laboratories.


The apparatus comprises the following :-

    *  A motor-driven mixer which simultaneously imparts two motions to the mixing paddle i.e. revolving and planetary, they being opposite to one another in direction as per IS standards. A two speed gear box is incorporated in the drive which makes the paddle revolve at approximately 140 and 285 r.p.m. with corresponding planetary motion of 62 and 125 r.p.m. respectively.

    * A stainless steel mixing paddle of the specified shape and dimensions which can be attached or removed easily.

    * A stainless steel mixing bowl of about 6 litre capacity. This can be held with the mixing apparatus and its height is adjustable.

    * A scraper made from semi rigid rubber blade attached to a handle about 150 mm long. The blade is about 75 mm long and 50 mm wide.

Suitable for operation on 220v, 50 Hz, single phase supply.

For water proofing of Concrete admixture and special water proof cements are used. Water proofing of these compounds are established by measuring permeability of standard motor. Specimen with or without such water proofing compounds. Permeability apparatus is used to determine permeability to water of motor cement specimens with or without water proofing compound.


Specifications: The mortar permeability apparatus comprises the three brass/gun metal cell mounted on stands and pressure chamber with a pressure regulator. The cell can accommodate 100 mm dia X 50 mm dia high specimen. Each cell assembly consists of one base plate. The base plate has one outlet for water and is recessed to hold the specimen in place with a ring washer in between. The top plate has an inlet for water and a suitable connector for an application of pressurized water in the cell. The mould and collar are clamped between the base plate and the top plate with the help of four tension rods & nuts. The cells are mounted on a stand.

 

The pressure chamber is fitted with pressure regulator which helps in regulating the pressure from 0-7kg per sq-cm. The regulator has two pressure gauges one for indicating the pressure in the chamber 90-10.5kg/sq.cm) and for indicating the testing pressure(0-7kg/sq.cm)The pressure chamber is connected to cells with pressure hoses and with couplings. This pressure chamber is fitted with help of a foot pump and rubber hose which are supplied with the instruments.

Proving Rings

Proving Rings are used for load measurements and are used in the outfits of a number of Soil/Cement & Bitumen Testing Equipments like Direct shear Test Apparatus.Triaxial Shear Test Apparatus, C.B.R. Test, Uncontained Test, and Marshal Test etc.

Proving rings can be designed to measure either compression or tension forces. Some are designed to measure both. The basic operation of the proving ring in tension is the same as in compression. However, tension rings are provided with threaded bosses and supplied with pulling rods which are screwed onto the bosses.

 

The dial gauge readings thus obtained versus load applied enable the operator to find out unknown load, just by nothing the dial gauge reading for the unknown load. The proving rings have high elasticity and on removing load the regain their original shape provided they are loaded in their elastic limit

A dial gauge and plunger anvil are mounted on brackets clamped ton the ring body .The dial gauge is held perfectly rigid without the remotest chance of shifting due to in advent shocks or pressure exerted on it. The dial gauge plunger rests on an adjustable anvil.

Proving Rings range with 500KN capacity provided with ½ inch BSF female threads loading bosses and a loading ball nipple and steel ball are supplied with each ring. Rings of capacity are not thus threaded.

 Each ring are individually calibrated and supplied with works calibration chart and a carrying case.

Calibration charts from Standard Laboratories for the Proving Rings ordered are also available at extra cost. All Proving Rings are Integral Type. Integral type Compressive Proving Rings of different capacities from 50 to 500KN are available.

Test Mesh Sieves

Sieves are common laboratory requirement. Sieves are used for sieving of chemical powders, medical powders, aggregate, sand soil & cement.

These sieves are manufactured as per various standards like ISS, BSS, ASTM, DIN etc.In Civil Engineering it is a common practice to use sieves for gradation and particle size determination. ASI manufacturer’s brass frame & G.I Frame Sieves of dia 200mm, 300mm and 450mm.Normally brass sieves are manufactured in 200 cm dia and frame is spun brass, joint less.The Sieve cloth used is standard SS or phosper bronze wire mesh.

The G.I Frames sieves manufactured normally in sizes 300mm dia or 450 mm dia have a steel perforated sheet having accurately punched square holes.

Gauging Trowel

The gauging trowel is a versatile tool used for transferring plaster (the broad rounded point is ideal for picking plaster out of a bucket) and for applying plaster to a wall or surface. Use this trowel for mixing or "gauging" small quantities of plaster.

The blade, post and tang is forged from a single piece of high-grade tool steel for maximum strength. The hardwood handle has a polished steel ferrule. Recently, after intensive job-site research and impact studies, these trowels were re-engineered to provide the user the finest trowel available. The handle rise is set for the correct "hang" and balance. The blade is taper-ground and polished to give it the right amount of flexibility. The rounded shape of the blade's heel allows plaster to be carried further forward on the blade.

These Cube Moulds are available in different sizes and are made according to Indian as well as British Standards. For the metric size cube mould, the faces are machined flat to ± 0.2 mm accuracy and finished to within 0.2mm. For the inch size moulds, the faces are machined flat to ± 0.01 inche to within 0.01 inch. All Cube Moulds are supplied complete with base plate.

It is used for the determination of soundness by expansion method of ordinary and rapid hardening Portland cement, low heat Portland cement and Limes.

It consists of a small split cylinder forming a mould. On either side of the split cylinder. Two parallel indicating arms with pointed ends are attached. Supplied complete with two glass plates and a lead weight.

Shrinkage Bar Mould

The mould is used for casting specimens of cement aggregate combinations for measuring the potential expansive alkali reactivity.

Length Comprrator

It is used to measure the drying shrinkage of concrete autoclave expansion of Portland cement and potential expensive reactivity of cement aggregate combinations in mortar bars during storage on self drying.

Specifications: The instrument consists of AA channeled base over which two verticals pillars are fixed. An adjustable cross plate is at the top. A dial gauge reading to .002mm X 12mm can be fixed to the top cross plate. The plunger end of the dial gauge can be located upon a 6.5 mm dia ball or the other reference point cemented in the specimen. On the base is a minilab recessed seating in which can be placed a second ball or reference point on the specimen.

Complete with stainless steel standardization bar with insulated grip and with 6.5 mm dia balls mounted in the ends. The unit can be supplied with .0001 inch X ½ inch dial gauge at extra cost if indicated at the time of placing the order
